Some hardware problems, like some software problems, can stem from IRQ (Interrupt Requests) configuration conflicts. If you understand this process then refer to the following instructions --
Select the My Computer icon on the desktop and right click, then selct properties and left click;- You are now in the System Folder, selct the Device Manager tab and see if there are any yellow exclamation points or red X's showing on any of the devices listed, if so select and double left click and choose the Resources tab and see what the conflict might be; try to resolve the conflict by changing the IRQ.
